Mount Bromo in East Java (in Indonesia’s Ring of Fire). After the Grand Canyon, this is the most spectacular view I’ve ever seen in my life. 4 volcanoes at sunrise - 2 of them spewing gas. Getting here starts with a 2:30am wake up. Normally people drive to the top, but my jeep broke down, so I had hike (3,000 ft of elevation gain from 3-5am. Oof!). The view from the top (at King Kong Hill) is crowded and full of influencers, but fuck it. Look at that view! A bucket list visit.
